poem: Erosion
The clouds hang poised;
They are the feet of God.
Rain falls soft on solid sod
As minerals mix with mud;
Sediment slowly slides
Over stone not affected by time.
Oh inspiration, come like wind
To take the silt away! Abrade
This dry decay. Water surge
Then break and purge. Disintegrate,
Stubborn soil cannot stay.
For only this will demonstrate
The spotless worth beneath the dirt.
