movie recommendation: V for Vendetta

i didn't know anything about this movie when i went to see it. i only went because daniel (my bro) wanted to see it. but man, was it a great flick. it's incredibly interesting; a VERY original idea and setting. imagine "phantom of the opera" mixed with "the matrix" and a rage-against-the-machine mentality. like i said...interesting. :)

it's multi-layered, which is something i value in a movie. it'll get you thinking. what i found most intriguing was thinking about human nature's desire for power and control, and how some even create chaos to give the illusion of control. there are also several artistic recurring motifs throughout the film; that's what prevents it from being classified as an "action movie" in my mind.
