O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...
Sunday afternoon we went to Home Depot to do some tree-hunting.
Bethany really liked the plastic pink one...

I suggested we bypass the tree and get the inflatable Frosty instead...

...but we finally settled on a more tradional option: a 6-foot douglas fir.
I used my Jazzercise upper-arm strength to lift it up...

Bethany and Sarah used their amazing twine-tying abilities to load and tie the tree onto Beth's Xterra. (Megan and I watched and cheered them on.)

Two hours, many Christmas songs, and several ornaments later...TA DA! The final product:

We love our tree! (but, as megan says, "not in a druid way.") :)
