We met at Denver Seminary in September '07 and were married June 7, 2008. We're both graduating from the seminary in December 08, Deric with a Masters of Divinity and Rebecca with a Masters of Christian Studies. Deric is pursuing Army Chaplaincy (hooah!) and Rebecca wants to work as a Christian educator, either in Army chapels or in elementary schools.

Couldn't agree more.
I didn't "slam" into that wall of reality either and won't- I knew exactly who & why I was marrying.
We went through pre-marital counseling & breezed through-- so many of the questions that they ask us to discuss we already knew the answers to.
People gave us a hard time about how long we dated, but I think all of the time we put into our dating made our marriage easier so far.
Neither of us initially thought of each other as someone we were going to date, but somewhere after getting to know each other's hearts we starting to like one another.
